JOIN D-DAY HEL!
Thank you for your interest in the Event, which has become one of the largest World War II reenactments in Poland and one of the biggest educational “living history” events dedicated to the D-Day operation.
Below you will find links and information regarding participation in the Event as a reenactor. Registration of all reenactors and vehicles (civilian and military) is mandatory. General reenactor registration is carried out via application forms.
REGISTRATION
Registration applies to individuals actively participating in the Event, in particular reenactors and collectors of historical vehicles who plan to take part in reenactments and other historical activities. Registration is mandatory for all reenactors.
When registering for the Event, please choose:
Participant application form – completed by a person attending individually without accompanying persons.
Organization application form – completed only in the case of:
non-governmental organizations – a representative of the organization’s board or a person appointed by the board (foundation, association, etc.),
informal organizations – a representative appointed by members of the informal group (reenactment group, association, society, etc.).
For participants arriving with family members who also take active part in the Event, registration is done via the “Organization application form”.
INFORMATION REGARDING FORM COMPLETION:
Accommodation information – especially important if the participant or organization plans to stay within the historical diorama areas.
Historical vehicle information – required for organizing parking spaces in designated zones and dioramas.
Civilian vehicle information (cars, vans, car carriers, etc.):
fill in if you require a parking space on the Organizer’s premises (parking area at Sikorskiego Street in Hel),
in case of vehicles with trailers/car carriers, note this in the “additional information” field. This data helps identify the driver if the vehicle needs to be moved.
If incomplete information is provided in the form, the submitter may edit the data.
For questions regarding registration or participation in the Event, please contact the Organizer at: ddayhel@gmail.com
Detailed participation rules will be defined by the Organizer in separate documents.
D-Day Hel 2026 Event Regulations – published on the website www.d-dayhel.pl in the “Event” section.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Does every reenactor need to fill out the form?
No. If you are a member of an organization participating in the Event, make sure the organization’s representative includes your data in the “Organization registration form”.
I am an independent reenactor and want to participate – do I need to register?
Yes. Registration is mandatory for independent reenactors or those whose organization is not participating in the Event. Registration is done via the “Participant registration form”.
I have a historical vehicle and want to take part in reenactments.
A participant who wishes to take part in reenactments must have uniforms or civilian clothing consistent with the Organizer’s guidelines for representing WWII (Operation Overlord / Normandy 1944). For questions regarding uniforms and equipment standards, please contact reenactment coordination groups.
EVENT INFORMATION
SAFETY
Participants are required to follow safety rules set by the Organizer and comply with instructions from coordinators and security services. This particularly applies to the use of equipment, historical vehicles, and battlefield simulation effects.
HISTORICAL DIORAMAS
The Organizer sets up “Living History Zones” on the Hel Peninsula for organizations to prepare historical dioramas. Sanitary facilities will be provided on-site. Additionally, participants may use facilities at the Sports and Entertainment Hall on Wuja Klemensa Street in Hel. The organization and operation of dioramas must follow the Organizer’s guidelines and assigned zones.
UNAFFILIATED REENACTORS
If you are new to WWII reenactment or looking for a group, consider contacting organizations coordinating reenactment activities within D-Day Hel 2026. Representatives can help with choosing formations, equipment, and proper guidelines. Participation may require assignment to a specific group or coordinator.
