Hel, surrounded by water on three sides, offers a unique maritime atmosphere that creates the perfect backdrop for historical reenactments. During the event, selected areas of the town are transformed into scenes inspired by Normandy in 1944.

The event takes place in the town of Hel and selected locations on the Hel Peninsula.
Visit the Schedule section to explore the full program of the event. We have prepared a range of attractions that commemorate one of the most important military operations of the 20th century. If you are visiting for the first time, the information below will help you plan your stay.

PARKING
Event program points are spread across different parts of the town, so it is recommended to plan your visit and transport in advance.
There are numerous parking spaces available in the town, including private parking lots operated by companies and individuals, as well as paid municipal parking zones managed by the City Hall.
Due to the nature of the terrain and the large number of historical vehicles participating in the event, the organizer does not provide parking for visitors directly next to program locations during their operation.
We recommend checking the map and road signage in advance, which indicate parking locations and applicable parking rules. For greater convenience, choose parking spaces located as close as possible to the points of interest.

HISTORICAL DIORAMAS
Reenactment camps representing the opposing sides of the conflict are located throughout the town: Allied forces, Axis powers, and the French Resistance.
Most dioramas are located on Kuracyjna Street, leading to the beach at the Hel Spit. Additional sites can be found near the Fishing Museum and in the town center. We encourage visiting all camps and speaking with reenactors.
Selected exhibits and historical vehicles will be accessible to visitors – always ask for permission before touching them.
REENACTMENTS (HISTORICAL SHOWS)
During reenactments, please note:
- Noise – expect loud gunfire and explosions (hearing protection is recommended for sensitive visitors),
- Smoke and dust – battlefield simulation effects (pyrotechnics) may cause heavy smoke and dust,
- Light flashes – visual effects may cause discomfort for sensitive individuals,
- Historical vehicles – ensure your safety and do not approach vehicles; stay aware of your surroundings,
- Objects and scenery – do not touch or pick up items within the reenactment zone,
- Electronic devices – special effects may interfere with or damage electronic equipment.
Pets are not allowed in the event area during reenactments due to pyrotechnics and high noise levels, except for assistance dogs for people with disabilities, especially guide dogs.
Between reenactments there are many interesting activities to see. We encourage you to talk with reenactors representing all sides of the conflict – they are happy to answer questions and share knowledge.
